Presented at the Military Operations Research Society Symposium in 2002, this in-progess presentation describes ThoughtLink's work, in conjunction with the Center for Naval Analyses (CNA), to use game-playing agents and humans to explore a variety of C2 design characteristics.
The briefing describes the experiment design for the 2002 SCUDHunt experiment at the Naval War College, exploring the effect of quality of information and visualization type on decision-making.
It also describes work by CNA to develop an agent-based simulation of SCUDHunt, in which teams of agents play the game, and describes how individual agents have different personalities and how they colloborate in the game.
Related publications are the ThoughtLink report on the 2002 SCUDHunt experiment using human players and the CNA report on the agent simulation of SCUDHunt.
