About Thoughtlink

ThoughtLink’s mission is to help students achieve scholastic success. Our goal is to improve student’s lives, not only by improving their academic grades, but by focusing on skills that can benefit them throughout their lives and career.

ThoughtLink offers in-home tutoring and coaching customized to fit your student’s needs. ThoughtLink specializes in Grades 6 – 12, but we are happy to consider tutoring students outside this age range, depending on your needs and our resources.

Our stellar tutoring team is comprised of professionals with subject expertise and real-world experience, as well as graduate students with teaching or tutoring experience. All of ThoughtLink’s tutors have college degrees (most with advanced degrees), excellent communication skills, and a passion for teaching and making a difference.

ThoughtLink’s process is built on identifying a student’s needs, adapting a tutoring or coaching plan to match those needs, and finally, administering a performance assessment and evaluating results. Working together with students and parents, we collect the information necessary to set goals, and create the best way for each individual student to meet those goals.

In addition to our one-on-one tutoring, we use pre- and post- tutoring surveys to gather feedback and make sure we are meeting your needs. Our team is also available outside of tutoring hours to answer e-mails or calls on a pre-arranged basis.

ThoughtLink has special learning programs designed for high-achieving and/or home schooled students. We also offer training in Microsoft Office software so students can present their work professionally – a skill that will help them in school and in their careers.

Julia Loughran founded ThoughtLink in 1997. The company’s original focus was on implementing innovative education and training techniques for U.S. government agencies and non-governmental organizations. ThoughtLink provided research and consulting in the areas of teams, collaboration and leadership.

Julia is dedicated to following her true passion – teaching and making a difference in students’ lives. Julia owes much of her success to influential teachers. She hopes that through ThoughtLink and ThoughtLink’s team, we can make a similar and positive difference for others.
